Creating A Cremation Service Invitation

January 2, 2023

There are a variety of ways you can go about inviting friends and family to a loved one’s cremation services in Turtle Creek, PA. Some people invite them by phone. Others will put a notice in the newspaper along with the obituary. And then, there is the option of creating an invitation. If you decide to invite family in that manner, here are some things you are going to want to do.

Give The Right Information

The first thing you will want to do is make a list of what you need to include on the invitation. You will have to give the right information and all of the details, so everyone knows what is going on, when, and where. If you need to know who will attend, you can include an RSVP, which can help you plan for space, the reception, and other such things.

Include Dress Details

If you are asking people to wear something specific to the service, you are going to want to include that in the invitation. People often assume a final service means wearing something dark and formal, but that doesn’t have to be the case at all. You might request that everyone wear blue, red, or whatever your loved one’s favorite color might have been. You can also tell people to dress casually, or let them know what your loved one would appreciate the most. You don’t want anyone to feel out of place because they didn’t dress as you wanted.

Be Clear About The Location

When you decide where the cremation service is going to be held, you are going to want to be clear about that in the invitation. If you are meeting in a certain park, is there a shelter reserved? Place the name of the shelter so everyone will know where to do. You can give directions, like in the park, to the east of the playground, or something of that sort. You want everyone to be able to find you easily.

Add Charity Details

Some families like to support a charity instead of collecting flowers or memorial gifts. You can add details for a charity your loved one appreciated in the invitation and allow people to send money directly to that charity to honor your loved one’s memory. You can list more than one charity, if you want. Or state that memorial funds will go to a certain charity in case people give money directly to you, that way they know.

Place Information About Your Loved Onecremation services in Turtle Creek, PA

You could also add details about your loved one, like a short bio and other things about them. You might mention important things in their life, a bit about what made them who they were, and help people to have something in the invitation they can hand onto to remember your loved one by.

Mention The Cremation Provider

It’s also a good idea to mention the cremation provider you used, whether you are having the cremation services in Turtle Creek, PA with them or not. Then, if people have questions, they know where to go to ask.
